New Delhi [India]Mar. 23 (ANI): External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar met with Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias on Wednesday and held delegation-level talks at Hyderabad House.
Dendias arrived in India on Tuesday for a two-day official mission, aimed at consolidating and further strengthening the multifaceted relations between the two countries.
This is the first visit of Dendias to India who was invited to the country by Jaishankar. Jaishankar traveled to Athens on June 26, 2021.
This exchange of visits will further consolidate and strengthen the multifaceted relationship between India and Greece, reads the press release from the Foreign Ministry.
India and Greece maintain close and friendly ties, rooted in a rich historical past. The two ministers will undertake a comprehensive review of bilateral relations and will also discuss regional and international issues of mutual concern, the MEA said.
The two ministers are also expected to discuss developments in Ukraine, the Indo-Pacific region, the Eastern Mediterranean and other issues of international concern.
During his stay in New Delhi, the Greek Foreign Minister will visit the Vice President and President of the Rajya Sabha, Mr. Venkaiah Naidu. (ANI)
